Coating PV Modules
PV Module Manufacturing with Coating
Antisoiling coatings are extremely important for dry cleaning by robots that are deployed by large PV fields. It increases the efficiency of Wet Cleaning by reducing water consumption in the range of 50 to 70% due to the self-cleaning function of the coating. The PV modules lose power due to reduced transmission of light through module glass in real field conditions in a range of 5% to 20%. The decreased light transmission is induced by soiling, scaling, corrosion, abrasion, and reflection of module glass. Multifunctional coatings reduce the cost of cleaning by 60%. A most interesting outcome is the increase in performance of PV power projects in a range of 5 to 15% which means 5 to 15% additional revenue. Additional assets saving due to reduced cost of cleaning and reduced damages to PV modules due to corrosion, operation, and Maintenance. Total revenue increase for a PV project can be in the range of 8 to 18%.
